What’s the connection between leadership & Organisational Value?

Thought I’d kick this brand-new version of L&D Generous off with one of my own quotes (please forgive the shameless personal plug)…

What is the link between Leadership and Organisational Value

“The ‘Value’ of an organisation (i.e. its ability to be as productive and profitable/viable as possible) is nothing more or less than the sum-total of the capability of the staff and their willingness to use that capability to its fullest…i.e. their level of ‘engagement’ – the rest of the organisation just being buildings, machinery, computers, etc.

Whilst there are many factors affecting engagement levels, by far and away the biggest is the quality of leadership at every level of the organisation.

So, if you want the highest possible levels of performance, productivity, and profits, and the lowest possible levels of conflict, absenteeism, and staff turnover, you’d be wise to invest in making sure that your leaders are AMAZING!”
